Fortum Charge & Drive is a stand-alone business unit and a well-proven business system for managing charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. Today, Charge & Drive has delivered and installed 1,800 smart electric car chargers in the Nordic region, including operation, maintenance and support. The customer wanted to preserve the industrial feel of the newly built premises, but with a reduced step sound for an optimal working environment.
Project Requirements
The client had high demands on comfort and sound suppression, in this regards, Sika ComfortFloor® meets perfectly the requirements. Sika ComfortFloor® has not only unlimited design options and color palette, but also provides a solution for sound suppression, therefore it has become the favorite choice of the customer. The client engaged an independent firm – which in turn carried out tests on how much the Sika coating dampened the stage sound. The result showed that Sika design solution met the client’s requirement of 12 decibels without any problems.

Sika Solutions
Sika, together with the customer, chose a solution with design, comfort and sound dampening. The Sika ComfortFloor® PS-66 system was used in combination with a sound-damping mat (Comfort Regupol 4580).
