About the Role

  • Promote Sarnafil roofing systems and Sarnafil Services to retail and strategic, multi-facility building owners.
  • Identify and develop new retail and strategic building owner accounts consistent with Business Plan.
  • Communicate and coordinate sales activities with regional management and territory sales representatives.
  • Communicate, coordinate, and track specific project opportunities with regional management and territory sales representatives.
  • Become primary ‘point of contact’ for strategic owner accounts and utilize sales technical organization to service accounts and projects locally (e.g., develop bidders list, conduct pre-bids, provide inspections, etc.).
  • Develop and implement strategic account programs and pricing consistent with Sarnafil pricing and business objectives.
  • Identify and develop relationships with other owner decision-making influencers including consultants, specifiers, and contractors.
  • Provide weekly or monthly sales activity reports as required by manager.
  • Represent Sarnafil at retail and owner related tradeshows
  • Assist with Mexico Sales as needed
  • Identify and present Director with owner candidates for plant tours. Once approved by Director, work with owner to establish agenda. Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics with Sarnafil and Concur booking app.
  • Other duties, as assigned by Director.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior sales experience in corporate owner environment
  • Sales experience within roofing industry highly desirable

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation abilities (one-on-one and in a group setting)
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task, and work in different settings (in the field, on roofs, and office)
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, persuasive, and persistent character
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office Applications, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes
  • Valid drivers license in good standing
  • Ability to travel 40-60% of time

Sika Sarnafil manufactures high quality, single ply roofing and waterproofing membranes. With over 40 years experience, Sika Sarnafil's roofing and waterproofing systems are recognized for their ability to withstand the test of time. Our solutions are successful, and we service our customers by providing beneficial support in the form of comprehensive design review and technical advice during construction. We currently have an opening for a National Account Sales Manager for the Western Region. The ideal candidate is in the San Diego up to Riverside, CA area. The National Account Manager West is directly responsible for the sales and marketing of Sarnafil Roofing and Waterproofing Systems to strategic accounts such as Property developers, large retailers, and multinational corporations.  The incumbent will be building and maintaining the relationships and will have to work closely with the corporate and regional sales personnel. The candidate needs to have excellent communication, a proven history to build relationships, organizational and writing skills, knowledge about the roofing industry and needs to be willing to travel. The incumbent reports to the Director of Sales – National Accounts & Government.
