- Position Summary/Purpose
The Digital Marketing Specialist is to assist the Marketing Manager in the establishment of a Digital Strategy that supports the overall Sika New Zealand business plan. The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for implementation and optimisation of all internal and external platforms that supports specification, sharing, promotion and tracking of agreed Sika activities in the market. The Digital Marketing Specialist will ensure the right processes are in place for Sika New Zealand to provide a 360-degree strategy to service the requirements of the stakeholders that are distributing, manufacturing, specifying, applying, and consuming Sika products in the New Zealand Market.

- Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Marketing Manager in establishing a Digital Strategy that supports the overall Sika brand plan.
- Contribute to brand planning every year as led by the Marketing Manager.
- Work with the Market Field Managers in ensuring the launch of any new product is supported with a co-ordinated digital approach to reach Target audiences, led by the Marketing Manager.
- Ensure that all digital platforms are updated with the most recent and accurate product information. This includes any product optimisations and new product and third-party platforms.
- Work with the Marketing Team to ensure we have an up-to-date library of images to support digital activities.
- Maintain a good understanding of all platforms available to Sika New Zealand and work with the Marketing Manager in establishing processes or execution of introducing new platforms where appropriate and/or directed by Sika Corporate.
- Drive and optimise the Sika New Zealand URL platforms and adapt the website to ensure it supports a clear customer journey. In conjunction with the Marketing Manager establish website performance targets that align with communication activities.
- Work with Marketing Manager in monitoring and creating ongoing company presence in social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram).
- Work with Marketing Manager on SEO and SEM and google AdWords initiatives to support digital strategy.
- Support the internal and external requirements for communication through EDM’s.
- Work with the Marketing Manager and Business/Market Field Managers in developing market and customer relevant online educational content for Sika’s online learning platform, including video.
- Support the Marketing Manager and Business/Market Field Managers in planning, promoting, and executing high quality and engaging digital events such as webinars and presentations.
- Provide creative ideas for content marketing and update the website in conjunction with the Marketing Team.
- Measure performance of digital marketing efforts by using a variety of web analytics to track the success of campaigns as established with Marketing Manager.
- Work with the Marketing Manager and Business / Market Field Managers in the creation and execution of the promotion and optimisation of any sponsorship, show or conference investment where applicable.
- Foster strong relationships with internal cross-functional teams and any external suppliers.
- Maintain regular communication with the Marketing Manager, Business / Market Field Managers, Specification Managers, and key salespeople to actively seek opportunities to understand and build knowledge of the market and our competitors; and to ensure any marketing activity is relevant and supported.
- Track committed and invoiced spend as approved by Marketing Manager.
- Assist in Marketing Projects and Tasks as required by the Marketing Manager.
- Provide monthly analytic reports with recommendations specific to driving and optimizing traffic, behaviour, campaign response, keyword research/analysis, SEO, and SEM opportunity.
- Based on reported data, recommend actions for continuous improvement with goal of driving traffic and increasing quality leads.
- Work with marketing team members in the development of online content including copy, merchandising, banners, and promotions.
- Develop and manage efficient procedures and workflows for the digital content life cycle, including creation, approval, revision, and removal.
- Manage PPC advertising campaigns within approved budget.
- Review new technologies to keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing.
