About the Role

About Operations

The Preston site is a lower tier COMAH site specialising in chemical manufacturing and polyurethanes whilst the Leeds site manufactures a wide range of sealants, adhesives and coatings all operating with the highest focus on health and safety.

The investment and manufacturing improvement progammes at each site are supported by a central process engineering teams who lead capital and operational efficiency projects across all our sites to drive performance improvement

Purpose of the Role

Drive health, safety and sustainability standards through investment.

Identify inefficiencies in process & packing plant and equipment and facilitate their improvement 

Assist with the implementation of new processes and lead the development of process development projects from specification through to implementation

 

You will be based at Preston but could be working on projects across Preston, Leeds and Wishaw as Sika’s multiple sites invest and grow.

Your Skills and Experience

The Support:

You will be working as part of a collaborative, committed and enthusiastic process engineering team within an operations team with an action drive culture. Sika has a strong commitment to safety first and actively supports the development of all its team members to lead and excel

The Skills:

Degree qualified chemical or mechanical engineer or equivalent with minimum 3 years’ experience in a chemical processing environment

Experience in leading engineering investment projects

Commitment to delivering highs safety standards. Ideally experience of Process Safety and/or working within a COMAH site

Passionate about delivering great solutions and engaging a team to strive for excellence
